We set out on Friday 25 March 2005 to find a suitable hiding place for the cache. On the 26th, we prepared the cache and hid it. The name of the cache is "Women's Monument" - perhaps "Women's Memorial" would also be suitable. On the two days I took three different position readings:
Reading 1: 29° 08.470S 26° 12.449E 1441m
Reading 2: 29° 08.471S 26° 12.449E 1439m
Reading 3: 29° 08.472S 26° 12.449E 1441m
I decided to give the position of the cache as 29° 08.471S 26° 12.449E 1441m.
The cache is a lunchbox with a blue lid and the following inside-dimensions: 16.5cm x 10.5cm x 5.5cm.
The original contents of the cache is:
Log book
Pen
FFC
Read me
Shoe Keyring

Danish coin: 2 kroner
Danish coin: 25 øre
Danish coin: 50 øre
British coin: 50 pence
When logging your visit, please state your hometown and country.
You can park approximately 220m (direct) from the cache. The cache is not wheelchair-accessable. The terrain is open from 07:00 to 19:00. When driving on the N1 by the city, you'll notice roadsigns indicating the correct offramp for the Women's Monument/Memorial and War Museum.
You can use the following hint to find the cache:
From statue "Die Bittereinder" it is 47m direct to the cache. Walk up the stairs, turn left at the trail and walk up the hill - it is under a big rock on the backside of the hill.
For those interested to also visit the War Museum, I give the information that is on the museum door:
